The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center has multiple vacancies available in the upcoming Digital Photography for Law Enforcement training program (DPLE 905). The program dates are: 06/02/2009-06/11/2009.
This eight-day program, with evening assignments, is an introductory digital photography school that acquaints students with a host of photographic concepts and skills including:
* Principles of Photography
* Controlling Motion & Depth of Field
* Crime Scene Photography
* Surveillance Photography
* Close Up & Forensic Photography
* Low Light Photography & Painting with Light
* Panoramic Photography
* Enhancement Techniques using Adobe Photoshop

As part of the tuition, each student will be issued their own (to keep) complete digital SLR camera kit and fully licensed copy of Adobe Photoshop software. It is with this equipment, and software, that the students will develop a high degree of proficiency during the challenging, and often exciting, real world photographic assignments developed by the instructors.
From the afternoon of the first day of the training program students will go 'hands on', developing their knowledge, skill and proficiency in photography. A portfolio of hundreds of printed photographs is created by the student and will serve as a reference for years following the training opportunity.
Upon completion of the training the law enforcement student will return to their respective agency with the requisite knowledge and equipment necessary to professionally and properly document virtually any type of crime scene, physical evidence, or in progress criminal activity.
