Medical experts, accident reconstruction experts, and other types of experts are frequently asked to interpret data from images that were obtained from video evidence. When these experts have no training or background in processing multimedia evidence, and/or make no effort to consult someone who does, bad things generally happen. Really bad things, like having all of their evidence thrown out of court, for one.

I’m excited to announce that I’ll be attending this year’s 100th IAI Educational Conference in Sacramento, CA. This year’s conference is anticipated to be one of the largest, as it’s the IAI’s Centennial event. I will be there representing my employer, Ocean Systems, and we will be showcasing our latest Digital & Multimedia Evidence (DME) solutions in the event's Exhibit Hall.

For more information about the event visit the IAI 100th International Educational Conference web site. Hope to see you there!

Earlier today I completed upgrading our Online Training Library and our members-only Chat system. The most significant changes are a new Instructor Control Panel for the training library, and permissions related changes to our members-only chat; registered Students no longer have access to our chat system.

The DME Resources chat system is only available to verified members of our Professional Community. Registered students still have basic access to our Private Messaging system and Training Course forums for communicating with instructors, as well as access to my Help Desk for reporting bugs or submitting Trouble Tickets.

Development of the online training library itself has been delayed largely due to my other professional commitments and priorities. I remain committed to the project and I’m excited to finally be working on my first DME related course, which will be made available for subscription later this year.

As always, should you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for your continued participation and support of our online professional community!
