It has been nearly two years since I introduced the subscription model here at DME Resources.  As I mentioned I would, I have been continually evaluating the model, plans, and features.

Over 200 New Members!

First, I'm happy to report that we've added over 200 new members since launching the subscription model.  Additionally, the vast majority of those who were members prior to the subscription model being introduced, and then upgraded to the Pro Upgrade subscription, renewed their Pro Upgrade subscription again in 2020! I originally set the annual membership fee based on a multitude of factors, including actual overhead costs and anticipated number of paying members. The latter was estimated based on statistical analysis of how many members consume files & resources from my site, compared to the number who have contributed at least some sort of content or assistance to the site over the years (~3%).

At the end of the first year I was surprised to see the subscription model made enough to cover my annual costs and some of my time.  Subsequently I introduced a monthly subscription option last summer, in an effort to provide access the Pro Upgrade features more cost effectively.  As expected, subscription revenue has decreased by roughly 50% since then, as more have taken advantage of the monthly option. 

Subscription Changes Effective Immediately

  • The DCCTV Player Library is once again available to ALL verified lifetime members, and will remain a FREE lifetime member feature.
  • The $9.99 monthly Pro Upgrade subscription option has been discontinued.
  • The annual subscription price has been reduced to $30/yr. per member.
